Camlock-koblingen har et lille hul i hvert øre og er udstyret med en sikkerhedsnål. Brugsmodellens funktion er at indsætte sikkerhedsnålen i det lille hul på tværs, efter at lynkoblingens håndtag er trykket ind, for at undgå at håndtaget vaskes væk på grund af det for store undertryk i rørlegemet og undgå at forekomst af sikkerhedsulykker.
